Shelley is a native Texan with a global spirit, whose journey spans both the vibrant landscapes of the U.S. and the culturally rich metropolis of Bangalore, India. Nurtured by the dynamic blend of Eastern and Western influences, she developed a curiosity for people, culture, and business that continues to influence her work.
Shelley's passion for service and execution is the common thread that is woven throughout her various professional pursuits. In 2009, she founded Shelley K. Events, a full-service event management company in Dallas, Texas. Over the course of the next decade, her commitment to philanthropy flourished, culminating in the opportunity to serve as Executive Director of Skypass Foundation, a corporate start-up foundation in Irving, TX. In this role, she devised, executed, and supervised numerous initiatives catering to people affected by Parkinson's, alongside spearheading international programs aimed at championing mission-driven and humanitarian causes worldwide. Shelley's deep connection with the Parkinson's community led her to establish DFW Parkinson's Resource in 2023, a groundbreaking initiative as the first centralized resource hub for the Dallas/Fort-Worth Parkinson's community.
In addition to her work in event management and philanthropy, Shelley provides consulting and digital media design services, offering strategic guidance, creative assets, and practical tools to help entrepreneurs, small businesses and nonprofits bring their ideas to life. As a multifaceted professional, she is driven by a commitment to innovation, creativity and meaningful impact, and is passionate about motivating and help others reach their goals.​
Beyond her professional pursuits, Shelley enjoys traveling, family time, hiking, and exploring diverse culinary delights. Proudly holding a degree in Markets & Culture with a concentration in Business from Southern Methodist University, Shelley is also a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance and a distinguished member of the 2022 cohort of the Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy program, facilitated by the Communities Foundation of Texas. She currently resides with her husband in Dallas, Texas.
